Introducing the Coelho AI Tools Suite: Six Free Tools for Serious Investors
We built six AI-powered research tools — free, no login required — to help investors think faster and more rigorously. Here is what each one does and how to use them.
Good research takes time. Time to read the filing. Time to stress-test the thesis. Time to decode what management actually said versus what they meant. Time to translate a complex options structure into plain language before you commit capital.
We built the Coelho AI Tools Suite to compress that time — not to replace rigorous thinking, but to accelerate it. Six tools, all free, no account required. Each one is purpose-built for a specific moment in the investment research process.
Here is what we built and why.
The Full Suite
1. Pre-Market Brief
What it does: One click generates a structured snapshot of the pre-market environment — equity futures, rates, commodities, FX, and the macro themes most likely to drive price action that day.
When to use it: Before the open, when you want a fast, organized read on the overnight tape without sifting through a dozen sources. The brief is generated fresh each time, so it reflects current conditions rather than a cached summary.
2. Portfolio Stress Tester
What it does: Enter up to ten holdings with their allocation weights, select a macro scenario — rate shock, recession, dollar surge, commodity spike, credit crunch, or geopolitical escalation — and the AI produces a structured analysis of your portfolio's vulnerabilities, resilient positions, and risk mitigation ideas.
When to use it: When you want to pressure-test a portfolio against a specific tail risk before it materializes. The tool normalizes allocations automatically, so you can work with rough weights rather than precise percentages.

3. Earnings Decoder
What it does: Paste in an earnings transcript excerpt, a headline summary, or raw reported numbers. The AI produces an eight-section analysis covering beat/miss context, revenue quality, margin analysis, management tone, guidance assessment, key risks, and a net bull/bear signal — including an options angle.
When to use it: Immediately after a print, when you need to cut through the noise and form a view before the market moves. The three input modes let you work with whatever you have — a full transcript, a news summary, or just the numbers.
4. Options Strategy Explainer
What it does: Describe any options structure in plain language — a bull call spread, a protective put, a straddle, a ratio spread, a covered call, or anything more complex — and get a structured breakdown of the mechanics, the risk/reward profile, the ideal market conditions for the trade, and the key risks to understand before entering.
When to use it: When you are evaluating a strategy you have not used before, or when you want to explain a position to a colleague, a client, or yourself. The tool handles both simple single-leg structures and multi-leg combinations.

5. Macro Thesis Builder
What it does: Articulate your macro view — on rates, growth, inflation, geopolitics, or any cross-asset theme — and the AI constructs a full investment thesis around it. The output includes a thesis statement, macro context, core supporting arguments, asset class implications across equities, fixed income, commodities, and currencies, key indicators to watch, a bear case rebuttal, a risk management framework, and historical analogues.
When to use it: When you have a directional view but want to stress-test it, sharpen the logic, and think through the full portfolio implications before acting. The thesis type selector (bullish, bearish, relative value, or neutral/hedged) and time horizon picker let you tailor the output to your specific setup.
6. SEC Filing Summarizer
What it does: Paste in text from any SEC filing — a 10-K annual report, 10-Q quarterly report, 8-K current report, DEF 14A proxy statement, or S-1 registration statement — and get a structured eight-section summary covering the filing overview, business and operations highlights, financial highlights, management commentary and tone, guidance and outlook, key risk factors, red flags and items to watch, and investor implications with a bull/bear read.
When to use it: When you need to process a filing quickly without missing the material disclosures. The tool is particularly useful for the sections investors most often skip — the risk factors and the red flags — where the most important information is frequently buried in dense legal language.
How We Think About AI in Research
These tools are not a replacement for independent analysis. They are a first pass — a way to organize information, surface the right questions, and pressure-test a view before you commit time or capital to it.
The output quality depends heavily on the quality of the input. A vague macro view produces a generic thesis. A precise, falsifiable view — "the Fed will cut 100bps by Q2 2027 because the labor market is softening faster than the headline unemployment rate suggests" — produces something you can actually use.
Every tool includes a disclaimer for a reason: AI-generated analysis reflects the model's training data and the information you provide, not live market conditions. Always verify with primary sources. Always consult a licensed financial professional before making investment decisions.
That said, we have found these tools genuinely useful in our own research process, and we think you will too.
